With the 110th Summer Show just over a week ago, have you decided yet what you are going to enter? We have nearly 100 classes for you to choose from, so there is almost certainly SOMETHING you could enter.
If you’ve never entered the show before, why not try one of our four novice classes? You might win a cup for the Novice with the most points, too! Herbaceous beds looking good after that rain? Why not enter the Top Vase class, and win yourself some seed vouchers? A keen cook? There’s the Philip Carr cup for the winner of the most points in those classes, too! Our most prestigious award, the Banksian medal, could be yours, if you win the most points in fruit, vegetable and floral classes combined! And don’t forget your kids — we have dozens of fun classes for them to enter, from flowers in a recycled container, to a miniature garden to make.
So, have a think, fill out your entry form (spare electronic copies are available on this website, along with a copy of the schedule), and send with your entry fees by Wednesday 29 June, to Fleur Smithwick at the address in the schedule. Entries are also possible on the day of the show, but attract a slightly higher entry fee of 50p.
Whatever you choose to enter, we love seeing as many people as possible entering, so please do think about putting in your sweet peas, your salad veg or your sewn article!
